The objects of the Institute shall be  

• To advance and promote the science and practice of quantity surveying and cognate matters
• To uphold the dignity of the profession of quantity surveying
• To watch over, promote and protect the interests of its members
• To afford opportunity for the interchange and recording of knowledge, research and experience of quantity surveying
• To promote high standards of professional competence and integrity

The benefits of the Institute shall be 

• Members uphold to the public a high standard of quantity surveyor ethics, integrity and professional services
• Support the promotion of quantity surveying studies through the INQS Bursary Fund
• Support the continued development of the quantity surveying profession within Namibia
• Members remain current through continued professional development 
• Access to a voice within the building industry, protecting the rights of our quantity surveying members
• Access to building industry practice contractual documents 
• Access to local social events among local professionals
• Access to obtain copies of Government Gazette’s, held at the INQS Offices
